Sony has an internal development team by the name of XDev, who have been responsible in the past for helping with the development of PlayStation games from external studios. On top of that, news has come since the unveiling of Rise of the Ronin that reveals Sony have been pitching in with the game’s development. During the State of Play showcase, Rise of the Ronin was announced as a PS5 console exclusive instead of a timed console exclusive, which would suggest that the game is never making its way over to Microsoft’s platform. Unfortunately, Rise of the Ronin doesn’t appear to be heading to the Xbox Series X & S or Xbox One at all.

Despite the fact that the game is only scheduled to be released in 2024, Rise of the Ronin already appears to be highly anticipated, so much so that Xbox players will be wondering if they’ll get a slice of the action. One of the biggest and most exciting announcements from September 2022’s State Of Play from Sony was Rise of the Ronin for PS5, a new action RPG from Team Ninja, the creators of games like Nioh and Ninja Gaiden.
